KOLC-TV was started in 2004 by Oglala Lakota College. The college felt that the Native peoples were not being represented in the national media in positive images.
OLC approached the Golden West Telecommunications network. With their generous support KOLC-TV began airing local Native American content. KOLC-TV broadcast: academic, cultural, and historical events. We are showing the Lakota’s real life accounts. Because of cost issues and provider storage limitations to account we are posting but of few titles from our collection. The content will be kept fresh with new titles weekly.
Coming late summer “Live Broadcasting from studio”
